Vulcanön is Tidaholms cultural center and today a meeting place for culture and the arts - from past to present. Tidaholms Museum tells the story of Vulcan, the world's largest match factories around the turn of the century, about the use and vehicle production. In the old match factory premises is the Lithographic Workshop testimony to the creativity and creation that sprouted several hundred years. The island also Marbodal Center with cooking show and VinContoret, a place for people who want to enjoy the good life with wine, food and beverage, culture and nature in the center.
Along a stretch of flowing Baltak few kilometers south of Tidaholm are able to excellent fly fishing. Here you can fish for rainbow and brown trout in flowing water Tidan.
Hökensås, one fishing- and family paradise
Hökensås is a piece of wilderness with great natural, deep forests and tranquil serenity. Here are some fifty lakes, which 30 are excellent fishing waters.
Hökensås is a mecca for big and small fishing enthusiasts and is known as one of the best fishing areas. Here you can fish for rainbow trout, char and trout year round. An exciting excursion could be to try out family fishing. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced fishermen. Family Fishing with guide on Hökensås held every Tuesday and Thursday in summer.
The area also has great hiking trails, plenty of berries and mushrooms and the rich animal- and birdlife. Besides birds, you may encounter including elk, deer, Lynx, fox and hare.
